Premium Orchid Potting Mix – 10L & 15L Bags

Give your orchids the perfect foundation to thrive with our Premium Orchid Potting Mix, expertly blended for healthy root growth and long-lasting vitality.

This open, free-draining mix is specially formulated for orchids that prefer excellent airflow and moisture control around their roots.

Ingredients (by ratio):

  • 50% NZ Radiata Pine Bark – provides structure, aeration and slow decomposition.
  • 30% Perlite – ensures superior drainage and prevents compaction.
  • 20% Horticultural Charcoal – helps purify the mix, improving freshness and preventing odours or toxins.

Available Grades:

  • Fine (6–9 mm) – ideal for young orchids and smaller-rooted varieties.
  • Medium (9–12 mm) – perfect all-round mix for most orchid types.
  • Coarse (12–18 mm) – suited to larger orchids and those requiring extra airflow.

Pack Sizes: 10L and 15L convenient bags.

Directions for Use:
For best results, thoroughly soak the mix before use to ensure even moisture. Repot your orchid and allow it to drain well. Fertilise regularly with a balanced orchid fertiliser to encourage strong growth and vibrant blooms.

Shipping

  • Orders are picked, packed & dispatched on Mondays and Tuesdays only to avoid plants sitting in transit over weekends.
  • Orders placed by Sunday 11:59pm will be shipped on Monday and/or Tuesday; later orders will be held and dispatched the next week.
  • We ship predominantly with Australia Post and apply a flat rate shipping & handling fee of $30.00 at checkout.
  • Flat rate shipping fee covers careful picking, protective packaging and postage to ensure your plants arrive in the best possible condition.
  • Postage is calculated based on estimated weight, volume, delivery priority and postcode; if actual shipping costs are less, any excess paid will be refunded.
  • You’ll receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking details once your order has shipped (tracking usually activates within 24 hours).
  • Australia Post delivery timeframes vary by location: 2–3 business days for major cities, 2–5 business days for most other areas, with longer times for remote locations.
  • Due to biosecurity protocols, we are unable to ship plants to Tasmania, Western Australia and Northern Territory at this time.

General Information

Every orchid is unique, and natural variations in flower colour, pattern and size can occur, especially with hybrids and species. Occasionally, buds or blooms may dry during shipping. Growing conditions and ongoing care, including nutrition, can also influence the brightness and intensity of flowers. We do our very best to photograph each plant accurately, however colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings.
